mendlab35 – Pokemon Card Restoration

Diagnosis: Crease, bend lower right front quadrant.

The Restoration Process

1. Cleaned the surface with distilled water. The card was pretty clean to begin with.
2. Saturated the card with moisture and lightly pressed for 10 minutes. The card was pliable and I decided it didn’t need more time.
3. Used the clay tool to press down on the crease and to blend it. Used a roller on the front and back of the affected area.
4. Placed in humidor at 80% humidity for 45 minutes.
5. Pressed for 30 hours.
6. Repeated steps 2 to 5.
